Superintendent's Message on Homecoming 2020

Hawk News

The Holly Springs School District loves and enjoys when alumni and community members come
together to support our students, schools and district.  We are especially excited during special
times of the year like Homecoming!
As we know, COVID-19 has changed the way everything is done in our schools this year.  For
our students, staff, and the families they go home to, safety must be a top priority.
Based on the regulations in Holly Springs for all athletic games at the stadium this year, we can
only have two participants for every player or student participant.  Since our students are
participating in the Homecoming Court and Senior Night, we wanted parents to have the
opportunity to see their children for what may be a once in a lifetime event.  As a result, the
student athletes and participants will be allowed to choose the two audience participants to
represent them. We will not sell tickets at the gate.
The two-participant rule will also not allow us to gather in large groups or to participate in our
usual tailgating.
We appreciate the continued support of our alumni and community members, and we encourage
each graduate, class or organization to support our students this year through other activities like
our Senior Laptop Donation or our upcoming Internet Access Donation program which will help
students who cannot afford the internet and do not have access.  We also encourage you to cheer
the students on from wherever you are and celebrate together virtually!
On behalf of the students and staff in Holly Springs School District, we love you and cannot wait
until that time when we can all come together again!
